Destin is a quick barrel mare. We’ve had her for nine years. She would make a great step up horse for a youth rider looking for more speed. She is for an experienced rider only. She has a big motor a lot of speed! When you’re on her back she’s ready to go just point her to the barrel. We always lope her in circles before running the pattern. She’s an easy keeper! No injections no shoes ( although we have put shoes on her before, so she will do fine with them if you choose to shoe her). You don’t have to pattern her through out the week just keep her legged up, she never forgets the pattern even if she’s off for a month or more. Destin consistently runs in the 17′s at our NBHA shows. has brought us home many checks. At our last show she ran a 17.1 could easily break into the 16′s with the right rider. Destin is a free runner, I’ve never used a whip or spurs with her. She has ran poles before when she was younger but we run NBHA and they don’t do poles. We work her in a round pen, on a longe line, or just in circles out in the field. She goes on trail rides as well and does fine. She rides in a junior cow bit at shows(no tie down) and when we exercise her at home we use a hackamore. Best horse to load in trailer, bathes, stands for the farrier. Donatelli had an outstanding 100 day Performance Test at Neustadt-Dosse in 1997. He was Leistungsklasse I with a total-score of 121,26 points. For the dressage elements he obtained high marks for walk: 9, trot: 9, canter: 9, and for his character he received a 10! Although Donatelli has a pedigree for dressage, he also showed jumping talent with scores of 7 and 8 for these elements. Donatelli had an extremely good sires debut, due to his oldest offspring.
